Research shows that 75 to 90% of all medical visits are for stress-related ailments or complaints related to stress.  Left untreated, individuals face an increased risk of developing maladaptive coping behaviors (e.g., overeating, constant worrying, smoking, drinking, overuse of prescription medication, or illicit drug use.) Physical health problems have also been linked to stress including high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity.

Our number one priority at Cedar Hill Psychological Services is to promote a sense of wellness by helping to restore mental balance. We use evidence-based psychological techniques and psycho-education to help individuals learn more adaptive and healthier ways to cope with life problems. Our goal is to help individuals develop behaviors that will help them better manage day-to-day situational stress, eliminate unproductive thinking and erase feelings of self-doubt.
